Eduardo Guardia leads BTG Pactual Asset Management and serves on Landscape Capital’s Investment Committee. Prior to joining BTG Pactual, Eduardo held several leadership positions in the public and private sectors, most recently as Brazil’s Finance Minister. Eduardo also served as Assistant Secretary for Economic Policy and Advisor to the Minister of Planning, as Secretary of the National Treasury, and in a variety of senior financial and economic positions for the State of São Paulo. Eduardo’s private sector experience includes service as Executive Director of B3 (formerly BM&FBovespa), Managing Partner at Pragma Patrimonio and Chief Financial Officer and Investor Relations Officer at GP Investments. Eduardo has served as a board member of Vale S.A. and as Chairman of Banco do Brasil and Banco Nossa Caixa. Eduardo was a professor of Economics at the Catholic University of São Paulo and holds a PhD in Economics from the Institute of Economic Research in the School of Economics, Administration and Accounting at the University of São Paulo.
